Northern California - Good Karma or Bad Karma

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

What say you wise folks of NorCal. I stopped to help a cyclist today, 200 feet after I got back on my bike I was almost taken out by a minivan practically driving on the shoulder. On one hand could have been good Karma because if I was riding more to the left (as I usually do) or driver drifted few inches more to the right I would have been a road kill. On the other hand bad Karma because I wouldn't have been there in the first place if I didn't stop to help.

It is never bad karma to stop to help a fellow cyclist in need.
And I am very glad you and Minivan did not become one.
