Hi guys/gals,
I currently own and use a Polar S725X and am planning to switch over to the Garmin Edge 500 as soon as it's released. Having used both the old and new Polar straps (the 'soft' and 'hard' straps), I definitely prefer the 'soft' strap better-especially when wearing it every day, hours at a time. Looking at the Garmin accessories for the new 500, it looks like there is also a 'soft' and 'hard' strap option (the soft one being the "Premium heart rate monitor (soft strap) 010-10997-02" listed on the accessories page).
So my question is this: If I buy the bundle (Computer, Speed/cadence sensor, and HR strap)-which strap will most likely come with the bundle? A friend of mine has the 305, and has the 'hard' strap-does anyone know which strap comes with the 705 bundle (this may be a better indicator of the strap that will come with the 'bundle')? I guess I'm wondering if I'm going to have to 'piece' the package together, or if I'll get what I want by just buying the 'bundle'.
Thanks,
