Well, our girl is at it again, making us proud! Yesterday, 7/28, was the first day of the junior Worlds. Velo was in the 20 km points race. She placed 11th in strong INTERNATIONAL field. I know she was hoping to do better, but, hey, she is still one of the best in the world. I am especially proud that she rode a good aggressive race, going with a strong attacker. You can read about it and see the results here:

Way to go, velo!
Regards,
Raymond
You go, girlfriend! That's some serious power there. We're real proud of you, you're doing great!

Yesterday, 7/29, she placed 5th in qualifyiing for the 2k Individual Pursuit. I'm not sure how many advance.
FWIW, I noticed last night that the most recent issue of Velo News has a several page spread/ad on the upcoming road nationals in Park City, UT. There is a little blurb on velo's past nationals results and elsewhere a picture.

Final results as far as I can tell with extracts from Cyclingnews reports.
2 km Individual Pursuit - BRONZE MEDAL - Winning the ride off for third place was US National Champion Kimberly Geist who beat out Amanda Spratt from Australia.
20 km Points Race - 11th - Midway through the race Korean rider Choe Sun Ae went on the attack taking Kimberly Geist (USA) with her. Eventually the pace of the Korean was too strong for Geist and she fell of the wheel and got caught by the chasers.
7.5 km Scratch Race - 14th in qualifying - The scratch race started with a very early attack on lap four of the race. From there the action never stopped and with ten laps to go a move went then was very close to staying away. American Kimberly Geist and Paddy Walker from New Zealand, who coincidentally rode against each other for the Bronze medal in the Individual pursuit, broke away together and opened up a convincing lead.

velo... in the picture, is that a smile or a grimace? ;)
That's a pure grimace, velocipedio...LoL...there's no way you can smile in the middle of a pursuit! Thanks again for the support, guys. I had an awesome time in LA and am very glad that I came away with a medal and came so close to another in the scratch race.
Whoo hooo! You got pictures to share from your experiences? Any stories?
Velo, I think you're being modest. That's a smile if I've ever seen one. C'mon, it can't be all that hard!
;) :D
Congrats!

Two snaps down, dood. If you're rooting for someone else, wouldn't it have been better to start up your own thread?
