Cyclist killed in hit-and-run

POLICE are questioning a man after a cyclist was killed in a hit-and-run accident south of Wollongong in New South Wales.
A male cyclist, thought to be in his 30s, died after he was hit by a car on Marshall Mount Road at Yallah, in the Illawarra region of NSW, at 9am (AEDT) this morning.
Police say the car driver did not stop.
A Dapto man is being questioned at Port Kembla police station after his vehicle was found a short time after the accident.
Police are seeking public help to identify the cyclist, who was declared dead at the scene.
He is described as being of white/European appearance with an athletic build.
He was wearing a blue cycling shirt with white parts, black cycling shorts with blue and white stripes and a red helmet with white air holes.
He was riding a black, red and white coloured Pinarello FT8 carbon bike.
