Training & Nutrition - woke up late

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

woke up late and I was considering going back to bed after breakfast cuz I thought I would bag my regular morning training. but then I found out that my work computers were down via email. this meant I didn't have anything to do at work early - so I went to the gym and got my training in and still got to work at 8:30. things worked out nicely and I got an extra hour of sleep! my session was actually very good!
these cold mornings are a bit rough on the motivation, though I must say

The only thing that motivates me to ride in freezer cold:
Drivers looking like they just saw godzilla when they see my smile (if no balaclava, if balaclava is present expect less of complete and utter "ohmaigodijustfilledmypants" looks and more confused stares.)

Yeah, I didn't make it out of bed for my 5:15am ride today either. Knowing that it was in the 30s this morning and will be in the 40s tomorrow didn't help.
Off to run now since I was lazy this morning!

there ya go! that's the spirit!
I just heard our server will not be up so I'll have the same tomorrow. thing is Tuesday is my swim time. I do an hour between 5:00 and 6:00 before it gets crowded. so if I want to swim, I can but then I'll have from 6:00 to 9:00 to kill before really needing to be in the office ... ugh what to do what to do. i'm so regimented and I really want to swim. ugh

How did the swim go? I had a great run last night (fastest ever for me!) and I made it out of bed this morning and had a fantastic ride:thumb:
And it looks like we're in for a week of nice weather here in NY so hopefully that will keep the laziness at bay for a little while longer...

hey, thanks for asking! it was good! 1500 meters in 45 minutes. I know I'm slow and rest a lot but I get my laps in you know? it's too depressing though that it is as dark when I get out as it is when I arrive ... ugh 12/21/09 can't come soon enough!
gorgeous day here today - would rather be riding!

Hi rumrunn6,
Nice to see you posting. Here's a motivator to get out early tomorrow; there's an Orionid meteor shower tomorrow morning peaking at about 6:00 AM. Unfortunately, I just found out now, around 10:30 PM, so I'll really be dragging myself out.
