Are there cyclocross tires that are more puncture resistant than others like the Continental Ultra GatorSkins?

Specialized makes the Borough (http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bc/SBCEqProduct.jsp?spid=42128&menuItemId=9304&eid=5098) in Armadillo.

Some of the Shwalbe tires are pretty tough and have enough tread for trail riding.

Check Conti's other offerings, they have some pretty stout touring tires in their line. I run TopContacts on my commuting bike. There have enough tread for occasional hard-pack dirt and urban detritus.

Those would be the Extreme and the XR. They should be much better bets than the Spesh Borough, as they have real tread (but of the road safe "non-walking" kind - ie the type that doesn't walk you sideways in a tight turn.) The Extreme is made out the same rubber as the Supreme, and should be very fast, while the XR is the standard adventure touring tyre - said to be grippy *and* tough.

Are you looking for tubulars or clinchers? Racing or just training/joy-riding?

For racing, Tufo's are pretty tough, and the repair up pretty well with sealant.

maxxis makes some clinchers that have puncture protection.
