I'm trying to remove the brake levers off a '73 Schwinn World Traveler. Can anyone tell me how they come off? There doesn't appear to be any screw or catch or anything. They have "dia compe" stamped on them. Anyone?
Thanks.

Nevermind - figured it out from reading the Barnett manual.
Is the World Traveler one of the road bikes where you pull on the brake lever and then can gain access to use an allen key so that you can take the brake lever off?

Unfortunately, no. I had to remove the brake cable to access a regular screw.
