Cyclocross - Cross Check Fit

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I'm buying a Surly Cross Check soon but can't decide on a size. I'm 5' 10.5" and have a 32.5" inseam.
I'm thinking of 52cm or 54cm. 52cm is generally too small for me but the top tube length seems long.
Anyone have thoughts about this?
Thanks.

they have shallow seat tube angles so they run longer top tubes to make up for that. You need to also compare seat angles as that will affect your reach.

I am 5'8" and have a 52cm Cross Check. It took me awhile to learn I should have gotten a 54.

I'm 5'10" and my 54 fits me perfectly with a 100mm stem.
Thanks for info on the sizing. I've been trying to find another frame with comparable geometry so I can try out sizes, but that is proving difficult. My road bike is a Lemond and has a very short seat tube and sloping top tube compared to the Cross Check.
It looks like I should go with the 54. That was my thought all along.
Feaduin - Do you happen to know you inseam or arm measurements? Just for comparison with mine.

I'm 5'10 and ride the 54cm crosscheck with a 120mm stem. fits me fine, though I need to get a non-setback seatpost.
