Training & Nutrition - Pre_Century ride question !

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I am doing a Century ride on Saturday (July 31) and it involves over 7,000 ft of climbing ! I have been training hard and was wondering if I should do a Hilly training ride today (thursday) and just a flat ride on Friday ?
Any help would be appreciated !

If your Century ride is this Saturday, it does not really matter as you should be resting more then riding at this point. Any training 2 days before is not gonna have much of an impact unless you train too hard thes next 2 days
I would do an easy 15 mile or so ride and then no more then 5 or 10 EASY miles on Friday, get a good night's sleep

Thanks Bolo, that exactly what I was thinking, but wanted to get other opinions ! It will be fun logging my 250 lb butt up the hillls !

Bolo is right. You have done all the training you can for a Saturday ride. I would suggest just doing rides that are nice and easy until Saturday.
