Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Took a half day vacation and did a ride I found on Bikely called the "Blue Ridge Challenge" out of Marshall, VA.
The climb at mile 25 made me rethink what I should be doing on my days off!!!:p Awesome scenery though!!! Horse and country club country for the well to do I thinks. And yes, I need to remember to bring a camera.

Very cool software - need to learn more about it! What does the green line mean?

Congrats, Herbie. I've done that ride a bunch of times. When I do it the "reverse" direction (i.e. Naked Mountain and then Blue Ridge Mt. Road) I love to stop at the little country store in Bluemont and sit in the sun. Maybe it will be nice enough on Sunday to do it again. I haven't tried those steep hilly sections since getting my new "climbing" bike....

Thanks! I stopped there I think. It's shortly before the hilly bits (~mile 20 counter clockwise)?
I put a 12-27 on before this and was still missing my compact crank on the mile 25 climb!!!
