well after much reading and and pondering I've decided to leave the teeth chattering aluminum frames behind, and go with some steel this time around. gonna plock down for a mark v pro, mainly for the reynolds 631 and steel fork. looking forward to what should seem buttery smooth in comparison. hows the stock saddle? and anyone know the weight in grams of the stock wheel sets?

The stock IRO seat is surprisingly comfortable. It may be a bit heavy compared to your racing saddles, but I don't see a reason to replace mine until it's completely worn out.

i wanted a iro mark v pro. the 631 was the winning factor. i got a sputnik with 631 and god i love how light it is.

I just got my Mark V Pro a couple months ago and loving it. Switched up from a 1980s Schwinn Conti converted to a SS so the weight difference is enormous! I find the stock saddle comfortable enough to ride for a couple of hours in the city.

the stock IRO wheelsets are good. I no longer use the front wheel because of a very high speed collision into a curb at the bottom of a hill(steep hill+sharp turn at the bottom+ oncoming car, try to jump the curb or hit a car that was moving while i was going 30+ mph, i took my chances with the curb.), but the rear one has been holding up fine and I haven't had to have it trued in a little shy of 2 years when i got the bike.
