Lance flew from Austin to Durango just to see it. He said it was awesome (per his Twitter).

Ya know, y'all...we could just go ride it. Surely, Lance could put up the course on mapmyride ;) Who's in?
Actually here the coursehttp://67.132.106.4/merchant.ihtml?id=1478&step=2

So, what did you all think? I loved watching it. I would love this ride because it is the kind of mountain biking I love....not super technical singletrack (which I love but not for 100 miles) and, of course, the lung searing altitude. ;) I just love super difficult challenges.
Pat and I are going to ride as much of the course as we can this coming summer. We'll be riding in Moab, UT at Thanksgiving...weather permitting.
I found it sort of interesting that Lance wanted to win this race so badly. Did anyone else?
You know, they have a little foot race in Leadville, too, ya know? Great place.
I would like to have heard even more from the mid packers and back of the pack folks. It was so great seeing them finish.

After about 30 mins of watching the projectionist fiddle with AV menus, the screening at my local theater got canceled due to technical problems . Hopefully it'll make it's way to DVD eventually. Sounds like a great documentary.

It was a great film, and a cool thing about my experience is that there were two Leadville finishers in the crowd at the theater I went to, belt buckles and all. I was awed by the hard work that riders have to do to just be a midpack rider in that race.

The Joliet Cinemark was 30 minutes late starting the film. They claimed it was on Dish Networks end. This was a film they had in house, but one via satelite from Dish.
Anyway, I enjoyed it, for nothing else, the shots of Leadville and scenery were worth it to me. The course looks crazy awesome hard. Later.

Good doc. I was really pleased it wasn't another Lance doc but focused on a number of riders of all abilities.
Sure makes it hard to get ready for the next few months of winter.

See, I disagree. I am a Lance fan and but it was WAY to much Lance for me. Everyone was so far up Lances butt it was embarrassing. I thought the movie was ok but I loved the side stories of some of the less than than elite riders. I had a tear in my eye at one point. Too bad Dave could not stay closer to Lance. It could have really been a great David vs Goliath type of movie if he had.

Maybe I should amend that to "ALL Lance doc." LOL

Just wait for the Lance Story movie. What actor can play Lance besides Lance??

the market for this type of flick is small. very small. take out LA and it is smaller, almost non existent. wrong or right it just is what it is. later.

I heard there will be another showing in november...I missed it the first time around.
I drove through leadville the day after the race. I was out of breath going into the grocery store, this trip was my first time at altitude. That place is really in thin air--man, I can see how aerobic activity is downright dangerous at that altitude without sufficient training.

No, this is from the Live Webcast they were doing on race day. Might actually be as good or better than the movie.
