After seeing how much fun I was having on my home-built front-drive recumbent, my wife decided she wanted to try one but wasn't sure about the front-drive concept.
I saw a post here at Bike Forums about the inexpensive Hyper/Insight available at Wal-Mart. After our ride the other day, we decided we'd order one to be delivered to our Wal-mart store here in Grand Junction. Later, we went to the Wal-mart store to pick up a few things and lo and behold, a Hyper/Insight was on the rack in the bike dept.! They said it wasn't a bike they normally stock and two of them just showed up one day. They'd been boxed up in back most of the summer! Unbelievable! It was destiny....
I'll keep you posted on our progress.:)

Just like my new Giant Revive! It needs the seat fixed and tires replaced but it'll be loads of fun!

My wife didn't like the 'ape-hanger' bars right away. So, I put on some flatter bars with an extended Rans stem. I'll have the wife take a look before I switch out the cables. The Falcon derailleurs will have to be upgraded soon.
The chain seems to be a bit long and slack...is there some sort of 'rule-of-thumb' concerning chain length?

A semi-recumbent chain I think is tandem length. That's due to the long wheelbase. The Falcon derailleur can be upgraded to Deore. You may want an MTB cassette 11-34 for climbing hills.

Just in case anyone is interested, I was on Walmart's website last night, and it seems that they are sold out again of the Hyper Insight. They must be moving them pretty good.

I am wondering if they'll ever introduce another recumbent model in the near future.

I string the chain through the derailleur and around big/big, then size so the jockey pulleys are at a 45 degree angle.

I too love my Revive. By "seat fixed", did you mean raising the front with a couple of washers?
Also to staay on topic, our Walmarts don't carry the recumbents. Really would like to put my hands on one before ordering.
