Northern California - Saturday Ride 10/14

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone down for a ride this Saturday, starting from somewhere near Mountain View?
I am thinking up to Skyline somehow, down to Stage Road. Maybe Stage to Pescadero for lunch, back via Stage and Tunitas?
Probably 65-75 miles 6k climbing? Starting 8:30 or 9am, either from Woodside or from somewhere along Foothill.

You mean 10/24? I usually ride through Woodside then up to Skyline via Kings. If the start time is around 9 I can join for part of the fun.

Urgh. I have houseguest early afternoon and event/party early evening, so it seems unlikely I'll be able to join you. If all else fails, invitation to join us for Friday is standing. Just tell work to pay you, whether you show up for work or not. To heck with the unemployment rate and the Great Recession!

Might be in... possibly solo bikes.
Have to pop open the rear hub on the tandem to see what's going on.
I suspect the pawls are not engaging and slipping under high torque loads.
So route idea is forming: Diablo, MT and Patterson pass. We tried this before when it was hot, and nearly died. Weather is much more suitable now.
Anyone else interested?

Damn, I want to but will be out of town. You might as well add in the Flynn Rd loop. Screaming downhill ... and oh yeah ... fast!

That is quite a drastic change from original plan....

I go where the winds of popular opinion blow...
It seems Michael is childless for a day and might prefer a more away-from-home adventurous route. The weather looks to be really nice, too.
OK. 3rd and Final:
8:30am at the School to go up Hamilton. Route sort of TBD, but my pace has already been determined to be slow.
This is for tomorrow! 10-24, just like thread title is supposed to say!
