whats wrong with racing on the wheels you have? Chances are they are not making a big performance difference unless you're racing on an expert level anyways.

tried your local bike shop and ebay yet??

well if u dont know,Racing wheels are thinner than these mags.cuz freestyle frames are wider on the back than a racing bike.

Do you race or ride dirt? What bike do you have? - no, don't say a Dyno... what MODEL of Dyno do you have? Most Dynos are freestyle frames.

If you are going to race, you should consider a racing frame if you don't have one. But, if you are running mags, then I suggest some rims no matter what.

I wish you luck on finding an inexpensive set as most riders trash rims seriously before they get new ones and the old ones simply aren't worth owning.

you can't be serious... I raced for YEARS and I rode on the same wheels I rode street with, the same tires even. A Tioga Comp III 2.175 front and 1.95 rear. On just and old generig $50 bike shop wheel set most of the time, simply because there is no difference and it doesnt matter. The only thing that will make a difference is going out and doing parking lot sprints and practicing, hard, before and after every race.

Oh yeah, I have a closet full of trophies that I am sick of looking at to prove my 'they're all the same' logic. That alone should tell you I'm not BS'n you.

Yeah, but the VFR is a bottom line racing bike and came stock with 20x1.75 rims - the same as mags.

I still recommend some good rims - but if you don't race, then you need rims suited to what you ride.
