Here is the CL post describing condition. I'm going to go see the bike tomorrow and make sure it fits, but I'd like some feed back as far as the price goes.
Maybe the best condition original Pro Strada out there. 60cm, original brilliant jade green metallic with white head tube and accents. Never crashed or abused.
Original steel fork gone, comes with Kestrel carbon EMS fork so don't ask. Columbus tubing, Campagnolo dropouts, investment cast lugs, outstanding shape.
I bought this bike in 1982 and vowed to never sell it, but it has been bubble wrapped in a box for 5 years and it's time to send it to its next owner who will use it. Would make a great fixie. I don't have pix handy because it's been in that box for 5 years and don't have any pix of it on my computer, but if you want to see it, it is in an indoor storage unit in near John Wayne Airport.
Price is firm, NO FLAKES. This is an opportunity for an early LA-made Medici, handcrafted by Mike Howard and Gian Simonetti. If you don't know, Google the history of Masi California and the East Los Angeles Medici Bicycle Company...
COMES WITH EXTRAS. WILL NOT TELL ON THE PHONE, THE FIRST TO MAN UP AND SHOW GETS THEM.The seller said he bought the bike from the original owner a year after he purchased it new which would make it a 1981 model. He also said it probably isn't a custom build so it's probably a pretty normal geometry. The extras he mentions are seatpost, stem, bottom bracket, and maybe some other stuff.
So experts, what do you think? Fair price, overpriced, underpriced?
