Mountain - Plains - Denver ID law?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I'm curious, because I want to start riding the bicycle downtown vs the car or motorcycle. But I have heard rumors of an ID law that was passed not long ago in Denver, that states you have to produce some form of ID upon request by a LEO? Does anyone know the truth to this? Or the statute that supposedly is, so I might look it up myself? I haven't found anything in my searches for it, and I like to have my ducks in a row before potentially getting in trouble for something. That, and I can't stand rumors about supposed "laws" that are in place.

Here's a link to a Denver Post editorial about a proposed law which sounds like the one you're describing.

Basically, the law would require police officers to seize the vehicles of anyone driving without a valid license. It's being pushed as a road safety measure, but in reality, it's just a way to use traffic laws to find undocumented immigrants and to bring legal action against them.

Thanx for the link. But I find it funny, because at least in JeffCo, the fine for an expired plate is higher than the fine for not having a driver's license. A guy who couldn't get a DL paid $35+court costs, and I had to pay $50+court costs for an expired plate.
And to go with the rumor I heard, I also heard that it was an effort to be able to get rid of homeless people that didn't have IDs. But who knows, that's why I always like to lookup the law when I hear about it.

This is the only statute that comes close to what you're talking about:
