Someone at work ordered these:

I was the last guy out the door tonight, so I turned off the lights and did a quick photo comparison of the beam pattern projected on the wall, compared to the authentic SuperFlash. Same manual camera settings for all frames, of course:

Wow, the Sunlite is terrible. I wonder if every unit is that bad.

Batteries fresh?

Yeah, new in the box.

We have two Sunlites, so I'll check the other one tomorrow and tell you how it looked, or get more photos if I remember to bring my camera again.

It looks exactly the same as the PBSuperFlash, as per

Same exact clip and bracket style, but I think PB specs their products to use better LEDs
This is interesting, as there is another PBSF clone product in this thead

I noticed a while back that Nashbar also has what appears to be a SF clone. http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product_10053_10052_262055_-1_201521_10000_201527 but it appears to be different than this one. A customer review on Nashbar claims it is as brite as a SF but with a different flash pattern and wider throw.

The Superflash is made by Smart, and branded as such in Europe. Here's their website, which hasn't been updated in a long time so the SF isn't there, but other PB products are. http://www.smart-bike.com/about_us.htm

I got the other Sunlite SF clone out and checked its beam pattern. It looks like the first one... three brighter spots in a triangle pattern.

I'm sure it works fine in the dark, but that looks really wimpy compared to the venerably PBSF

I got one of those Smart lights from Wiggle really cheap, around $15. It has a more standard flash of 50% on, 50% off, so it appears brighter than the PBSF. I have one of each on my bike.
