The freehub body on my Centaur 10-spd rear hub cracked. Don't know how, not germane to my question.

I pulled the old one off and discovered that there was a bunch of grease in where the sleeve and bearing is - you know, there the axle goes through.

I purchased an after-market replacement freehub assembly (yes, Campy 10psp compatable) and it is not greased at all. Zinn's Road Bilke Maintenance book talks about greasing the pawls and the teeth the settle into - will do. Zinn, however, says nothing about greasing the inner sleeve and bearing. Zinn is talking about lubing, not replacing.

My question - should I grease the inner sleeve and bearing, or should I only grease the pawls and teeth? It seems to me that all of the above should be get the grease treatment, but I'd like to make sure.

Thanks in advance.

Everything needs grease. Don't need to overdo it.
