Northern California - Garmin 305 Software

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

connect.garmin.com. However, this is a little flaky. I have a Mac, and I use Ascent. I also use www.ridewithgps.com, and import the gpx file from Ascent.

I use SportTraks by Zonefive Software (www.zonefivesoftware.com). It's great, and it's free!

I haven't used the others, but Ascent works pretty well for me.

I only wish the software would have something similar to a tag feature, so that if I wanted to search for Mt. Tam, I could see all routes tagged as Mt. Tam. I guess you could just include Mt. Tam in the description, but that's a lame workaround.

Ascent for me as well. Works great but it only works on Macs.

Use the keywords or Custom fields. You can assign 2 keywords to each ride and one Custom field.

BTW the only time I use garmin training is to upload course created by bikeroutetoaster.com
Sometimes I have trouble using a direct upload to the 305 from that site.
