The link to the Felt Ethic isnt working, but I have the Haro F3 but I think you should go with the F4. Its MUCH better.

the only benefit parts wise would be the chain tensioners on the felt so I would leave the decision down to frame geometry. First the felt ethic from what I see the top tube is a little on the short side, it only measures in at 20", the steering angle is 74 degrees, the same as the haro, and a good angle. The chain stays are a little shorter than the haro as well coming in at 14.25 One highlight of the felt lineup is the slightly higher bottom bracket. This makes bunnyhopping a little bit easier and is a small part of what makes some classic well praised bikes 'work'. Both bikes are rocking 25.4mm seat posts which is a nice standard size, nothing brutally oversized or undersized there. In contrast, the Haro has a top tube length of 20.25 which is about perfect for me, however if you're not 5'11 and built exactly like me, none of my opinions matter much. The chain stays on the haro are a little longer as well which will make pulling the front end up a little bit harder in conjunction with the longer top tube and the slightly lower 11.46" bottom bracket height. However the front end is set at 74 degrees which is nice and quick as far as steering goes. The Felt frame is also overall a bit shorter with a seat tube length about an inch shorter than the haro. The Haro also comes in at a hefty weight of 35.6 lbs, I don't know how much the felt weighs but it has to be less.

overall if you're a big guy, or like to stick with a known brand, go for the Haro, but if you're smaller and like to go for lesser known companies, the Felt is all for you.

One of the big things that I don't like about the Felt is that it runs it's rear brakes on the chain stays (low) while the Haro runs them on the seat stays (high). This means that if you want to switch to smaller gearing on the Felt, your options are limited due to the brakes possibly being in the way.

The DK Cincinnati I think is one of the best entry level bikes for $220.00 you get about the same setup as the Haro or the Felt, but it comes stock with 39/14 gearing, which is already smaller and more in line with what a lot of riders are switching to.
