Utility Cycling - Attaching U/D Lock

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I need to attach my u lock to my bicyle, but the bracket that came with itm is too small for the tube, what other ways are there for attaching this lock.
Thanks

Bungee to the rack? I prefer that to the bracket anyway; it rattles less.
When I have my panniers or my trunk bag on, mine rides in the panniers or trunk bag--occasionally locked through the loops on the outside of the trunk bag.
When I'm running errands without bags, I stick the open end up through the rack deck, and lock it there. The weight of the lock keeps it from rattling except over the biggest bumps (and curbs).

Bungee to the rack beats all other methods, it is quick, secure and cheap.
Keep the bungee in place all the time, with enough tension and you just stuff the lock under the chord. Push the curved section under the raised front of the rack.
