Hi,
I'm considering buying a beautiful used Merckx track bike with full Campy including the Star Hubs and the new cranks, but I don't know how much it is worth. Any ideas? Frame is in almost perfect condition, and it has polished stainless steel headtube lugs. Red with chrome rear triangle. It has been raced, and apparently has won some national records.

well, the reserve is met at £350. I wouldnt go too much beyond that. and I think
you would have to get a new wheelset for street riding.

I got it. Although I think it will be too small for me, I couldn't resist. If it doesn't work out for me, I'll put it up for sale I guess.

100 us gets you about 56 quid.

Thus 350 sterling is about 700-800 dollars.

Which I think is a damn steal for that bike.

Great bike. I've got a lugged Merckx pista too. Rides like a million bucks (£548,910). It's the kind of thing you hope to be burried with. If you've got other bikes, you might want to get them ready to gather dust.
What size frame do you normally ride? I got mine with a 2cm smaller seat tube cause the top tube was nice and long. So it might just work out for you. Anyway, congratulations, and enjoy.
