I might as well use the co-opted Hawaiian greeting, seeing as how I'm in paradise. But then again, that's why I'm cycling: don't wanna kill the place anymore than I have already.

Aloha from the down-scale end of the island chain. Don't worry, you aren't making a dent in it. The whole state will be packed shore-to-shore with uber-expensive boomer retirement mansions in just 10-20 years. I hope to be off to a cooler climate before the boomer invasion makes Hilo more traffic-jammed than it already is. My frigid Northern European blood can only take so much of this dang 24/7/365 sweating. :D

Aloha! I currently live in Florida but was born and raised on Maui. There is alot of traffic there and I believe that riding a bike around the island you do not miss so much of the beauty of the island. Riding a bike makes it more enjoyable.
