I posted this over in C&V, but thought there may be some interest here too from a "what to do with the Magicshine battery pack" perspective.
I recently started riding my "82 vintage Gordon framed bike to work at night, and needed a new light for it. After a bit of scouting around, I found the Magicshine P-7 headlight from Geomangear. It's GREAT! Plenty of light, though not 900 lumens as advertised. Easily one of the brightest you'll see on the road, and very light and small. Here's a pic of the installation I did for it:

This one shows the cable routing down the top tube. I used waxed lacing tape instead of cable ties to hold the wire along the brake cable, because it fits better with the vintage look.

This pic shows how I mounted the battery pack to my old Blackburn rack. I use the Jandd bag upside down for a spare tube and a few tools, because it fit so well under the brake cable protector of the rack. When the light isn't in use, I disconnect the cable and tuck it into the zippered top pocket of the Jandd bag. You can also see the Fenix L2D flashlight I mounted at the tiop of the seat stays for emergency uses.

And here's a pic of the rack showing the taillight installed. I used a Blackburn Reflector Mount, as my old rack had no provision for it.

The headlight is very convenient to use. The power button is very easy to get at, and the light is easily pointed as necessary for conditions. Everything is well out of the way and uncluttered. I'm a happy camper!
