Classic & Vintage - CCM Flyers X 4

I have been waiting for a week and a half for these to get here. They were bought as a group from a guy in Vancouver. They are very nice CCM Flyers. My bank account is a lot lighter now. I have to do some more searching for info on them. As for now have a look at the pictures and info. Sorry for the poor pics but I just got home with them. Hope to get better pics tomorrow.
The guy I bought these from said they were his late fathers bike and he got them from someone who was a top champion bike racer.

This bike is a 1950 (serial number ends with B)with original paint. The bike had the wood wheels when I got it. The guy I got it from thought they may have been switched with the black bike. I put them on the black bike. The fransfers are there, CCM Flyer is nicer on this bike but the CCM crest on the seat tube is not as clear as the next bike.

The second bike is a 1950(serial number ends with B) with original paint. The CCM Flyer transfer is not as nice but the seat tube transfer is nicer.

This bike has been repainted and I cannot read the serial number. I don't know the year, maybe late 30's.

The last bike is the most interesring. It is a 1939, I thought it was a 1923 from the serial number that was given to me. It has a number before the C in the serial number. The bike is gold plated over nickel plating. The bike has a Milremo crank which is not correct. The hubs are CCM, rear is a CCM Flyer.
The guy I bought it from said it was bought by his father from a guy who got it as recognition for his racing accomplishments. There is a P stamped in the rear dropouts on both sides. Maybe this was given to one of the Peden brothers, Torchy or Doug. Thereis one know to be given to Torchy but nothing about a second bike. This one could have been given to Doug who won many races with his older brother Torchy. Both of them have passed on so we may never know. Doug spent many years in vancouver and may have sold them to the father of the guy I bought them from.

I really love the Flyers w. the thin crown and pencils thin open seatstays. Gotta get one one of these days :)

I was able to take some better pictures today. Got to check what each bike has for components.
This one has Ace Cycles Lorne Atkinson Vanvouver BC on the seat tube. Also a vancouver registration 1953 on it. Fiamme rims, CCM hubs36/36 hole, Michelin Liberty tires, Cinelli stem, Brooks Sallow saddle, CCM crank 25&8 cog skip tooth, Sheffeld Super pedals, Christophe Special toe clips.

Second blue bike has Scherens rims, BH Airlite England hubs, double fixed rear, 36/36 spoke, Alloy no name bars and stem, CCM skip tooth crank, 23&8 tooth, old logo Christophe clips, steel quill pedals, Brooks B17 saddle. Both this bike and the other blue bike have Ken Carter transfers on them the name of the guy who owned them.

I bought mine during the late 50's; it having been chromed by the previous owner Chuck Stubbs.

Wood rims, skip tooth front/rear, cottered crank, unremembered if the lugs/tubes were pinned or not.

The handlebar extention was of the slider type, with of course track bars.

Ended up with wrinkled tubes after the "crash", fork/wood rims/tubs remaind true, I, broken wrist/ankle.

Sold to John Michie, $75.00! (1960)

Both Mike Berry + John at Jet Fuel Cafe have their respective collections.
