I realize it's an odd question :)

The Landau frame is broken and it's got way better parts than my Rally. But it's 700c vs 27" on the Rally. I read up on some of the conversion threads, but that doesn't really tell me if it would be possible to move over both the wheels and brakes from the Landau.

On the other hand, it may make zero sense to put money into the lowest end Nishiki frame. I might be better off to just find a bike already equipped the way I want and get rid of the one I have.

Any thoughts or tips will be appreciated.

Your "on the other hand" comment is right on target. As much of a Nishiki nut as I am, the Rally is the lowest entry level Nishiki made. If someone gave me one, I'd take it in a minute, but I would not sink big money into a Rally. If you can do all the work, and have the tools and know how, then there's nothing to lose, but if you're paying a LBS to make any changes, then IMHO it's not worth it.

As for putting 700C rims on a frame with 27" wheels, the biggest concern is whether or not the brakes are long enough to move the pads down so they properly contact the sides of the 700C rims.

So is that the only issue of converting to 700C rims on a bike that came w/ 27"ers? My tire options aren't that great. I need something that can run really high PSI....over 90 would be better...I'm 200lbs and even maxed my CSTs are bellowing out.
