Okay, what is the best way to clean panniers? Just switching from outdoor to indoor riding :( Looking at the panniers, they are looking a little grungy, so what do you use to clean them?

I've used washing up liquid in a bucket of water to wash my Ortliebs, then just poured water over to rinse them. Seems to work fine

A soft bristle brush, and liquid hand soap. Wash until foam is basically clean, then rinse well in cold water.

I think the answer would depend on what your panniers are made out of.

Wash them like you would clothes in a sink or something, only in a bathtub for the panniers. Soapy water, then just soak them and swish them around and stuff like that. It should be enough. A brush can help, but unless it seems necessary is more work than needed.

My new panniers(Axioms) are made from 600 cordura.I just put them in the washing machine on cold/gentle cycle.Been thru 3 times so far,good as new.My old Rhode Gear panniers lasted for 25 years doing that.Stiching was fine,the material just wore out.
