Nice. How'd you finish?
I got a picture today of a guy in almost exactly that same position, except his bike wasn't under him. :)

Finished 6th in the Masters 30+ and this was my first time doing a 60 minute race, and I would say it isn't much harder then 45.

How do you like the Topolinos for CX?

Finished 6th in the Masters 30+....
That would be "no" then wouldn't it. :D But I guess you probably knew that already. Trebon lapped 14 out of 15 other racers in the A race in the video of him doing this.
Seriously though, your form looks pretty good to me. Oh, and congrats on the nice finish.
What's up with 30+ being masters? It's 35+ here and I think that's too low. Isn't the age cutoff supposed to be indicative of people getting slower? I know we don't want to admit that, but really....

I love them for CX, really light and very stiff. My wheels I train on are 32 hole Mavic's laced up to 105 hubs, and I can really tell a difference when swapped.

I was referring to my dismount/remount when compared to the video of him;) I know I am nowhere as fast on the bike. As far as the 30+ that is the way the one series by us run theirs, but all the others are 35+ not sure why. And as far as getting slower when older, I had 2 of the fast 50+ guys pass me, they were started 20 seconds after we were.

Yeah, that definitely happens, but on average they ought to be slower, otherwise why have a separate category? Maybe I'm just missing the point.
I've discovered that looking at the way riders self-select their categories brings out my OCD side in a big way. Not because I don't want to race with sandbaggers, but just because it's wrong. The guys who should cat down bug me as much as the guys who should cat up. I find myself wanting to re-sort the whole field.

But are a helluva lot faster than the vast majority of us out there. Sometimes that means a lot of lapping during an open masters race. Oh well.
I agree that 30 is too young, with 35 or 40 more realistic.
Promoters like the masters race because a lot of masters will double-up on races. Age does come with its "privileges".
