sounds like fun. Pity I won't be able to go down there. Do you give handicaps to those R20s with 3 speed hubs compared to the single speed models?

Hi Gnome,
Oamaru is your home to roam to this November 21st.
I made an enquiry on your behalf and the Safari Bro Management Committee is more than happy for you to come down and bash six kinds of brickdust out your little Raleigh that weekend.
In answer to your perplexing question will there be some kind of handicap for multi geared and single speed 20 bikes on the day? A very valid question you have posed and Brian gave it his greatetst consideration and put it to the test against a Healing Lowline. Of course he is a Safari Bro Superstar and was giving a Televison Interview at the time this morning; but he always tries to fit everybody in.

" Yeah it valid but any speeds all good with us,maybe single speed is an advantage???
Just turn up on the day,had a guy on sunday race me on ma single speed raleigh and he was on a 3 speed lo line and he beat me but kept itr in second gear, dats da beauty of ..."

We can take it from that; it would appear that individual riding style may win out on the day?

Marvelous prizes and bring your plaster casts down with you. I think they whip up a storm in the market.

It has just been confirmed that the Notorious Internet Romeo of Roslyn, Dunedin will be entering the races this coming Nationals day. He will be making his way from Dunedin to Oamaru under a New Zealand Police Armed Offenders Squad Escort on brightly coloured Raleigh Choppers.. A Police Spokesman believes the Raleigh 20 Races could pose a dangerous situation for those attending and they had their eye on the Digital Romeo for some time a source claimed.

sounds like it will be fun... Pity I won't be able to make it. I'm going to Westport next weekend and don't have the funds for two weekends away in a row. Damn rates.:(
