Great looking job. Nice work. As I watched you riding up the hill I began wondering about the stability going down the hill.

One would wonder if the brakes are sufficient because of the extra weight and the inertia of the trailers in a downhill run.

Just curious. :thumb:

that is awesome man! kudos to you.

Yo!

Did you use Phil wheelchair hubs on that?

Mike's got a good point; you should try and fab up a mechanical disc setup for your rearward most cart. Just run a reallllly long cable.

I really like the kid trailer! I like the fact the child can look around and is not enclosed.

yeah it could use a brake when going downhill
but totally manageable at slower speeds
design in the works for disk brakes via cnc'ed brakemount
also making a suspension modle for bigger hits or trails

Awesome show of ingenuity! I may have missed it in the video, but what's the gear ratio?

looks awesome. some sort of brake for the rear would be great for downhills though.

have been asked to start a business or patent etc
and I have made 1 that converts to a wheelchair for a family in my neighborhood for cost of materials
but not in it for the $ rather see people smile
and see them pay way less than what other company's are asking(in the disability trailers/wheelchair realm)
did you need one?

Actually, seeing your video, I thought of my father's sister. She fell while riding her bike several years ago and broke her hip. Now she won't ride; however, her husband still rides his bike but has to go alone. I could see him pulling her in one of the adult trailers with the chair. They live in a community where they could ride to the library and local shops. I've sent a link to your video to their two sons.

cool I can give them a step by step to build there own
not cheap to build but very inexpensive comparative to whats out there
hitch. tubing /etc are reasonable
the wheels will cost you 0 to 1500$
and the seating will be the lions share of cost for a adult sized unit
good seating can cost 400 -600 $ just for the seat cushion alone
then seat pan and back rest etc can go used to cut costs
or i can build them one for cost

also consider if its a leader or come along trailer
my wife's in the vid is a come along it needs a trailer in front ,same as flatbed.

my sons trailer is a leader
it attaches to the bike
the leader trailers will need you to bend a tube for the hitch (easy to do )
and now is a good time to think suspension
