Sure thing! A bunch of friends and I worked these up the other night while imbibing "special" hot cider and watching Signs.

Honestly, I don't know what the 2nd from the left just did to the one next to it, and I don't want to know.

That will probably be the extent of my Halloween-oriented fun for the year.

By the way, hilarious, on-topic video:

No pictures of my pumpkins, but a couple of ideas....

Last year, it was too windy for a candle, so I put a Super Flash light in my pumpkin. It got a lot of comments. I'm thinking about doing that again this year. Instead of carving holes, I am planning on scraping the rind to give it a little more depth.

I also saw a show last night where some guy put a sump pump in a pumpkin and made it a continuously vomiting pumpkin. Pretty cool, but too much work for me.

Here we all are, in order.
Christina's "SUCK IT" pumpkin (this one won the 'prize' for the evening, which was a hug from me)
Laura's pumpkin with ears
Amanda's skeleton looking through blinds
My spider (it's not completely cut out... just 'skinned' it... so it doesn't show up very well :()
Kate's bat
Lyndsay's smiley triangle nose
Erin's flirty winking 'kin
Lisa's top hat punkin'
Rachel's "Ryder" (her son's name) pumpkin

Z please, I roll at least 5 deep. This isn't even half of them ;)

It was an interesting night though. I made bourbon cider and everyone brought booze. Sharp knives + 9 drunk chicks = PARTY TIME

That reminds me... I need to carve mine either tonight or tomorrow night. I keep them VERY simple... they look like slasher/psycho pumpkins... I'll post pics when they are done. Best description is "primitives". I'm not going to spend hours on something that will last about 3 hours after the candles are lit.

I did promise my daughter to keep a bunch of seeds so she can plant pumpkin vines at her mother's house this coming spring.

BTW, I let my boys use my rear blinkies in their pumpkins. A Cateye TL LD1000, set on strobe mode, makes a pumpkin incredibly cool!!!

Save the seeds and roast them.

Clean them and place them in saltwater. Two cups water, 1 tbsp salt per cup of seeds, Bring the water to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes.

Drain and pat the seeds dry.

Place 1 tbsp olive oil in a roasting pan or cookie sheet. Toss the seeds in the oil and then spread the seeds out in a single layer and bake in a 400 degree oven until they just begin to turn brown.

Remove from oven, cool and enjoy.

Regarding vomiting pumpkins, last weekend we had a Halloween party. One of the snacks was a pumpkin vomiting out guacamole onto a plate. Comical, but useful! And gross!

Too funny. Sounds like a Linda Blair pumpkin.
