Classic & Vintage - Solve my mystery, please

Hi,
I got the bug to troll craigslist and ended up with a true Frankenstein. Everything from a Eagle rear dérailleur, a Spirt front dérailleur, steel drop bars and a strange cassette that the larger gears have points for every third link. I am enclosing a couple pictures of what I believe to be original, including Campagnolo shifters.

a couple of questions (and a hint) : What are the dimensions of the frame and how much does it weight. What's the BB size (threading)?

The hint: it looks like their is a pump mount on the down tube (top mount is there, bottom is broken it seems). Based on that, this frame looks entry to mid. French/American/British

My money is on it being a Puch Burgermeister.

Any sign of chrome under the paint? The original finish was "cromovelto" copper over chrome.

Obviously a rattlecan repaint. The dropouts, headset and seatstay caps say low-end to mid. Cottered crank. The shifters don't mean much, I doubt they're original. Why do they have cable housing stops on them if they are DT shifters?

The lugs and the pump peg point to "entry level". Cool fork crown though.

Is that silver thing an oil port on the dorsal part of the bottom bracket shell?

Wow, so much more exotic than I would have imagined. The frame dimensions are seat tube 57.5 cm, top tube 57.5 cm, bottom bracket end to end 130 cm, and frame and fork with bb a svelte 8.5#s. A couple more pics. Thanks so much for the help. The front rim is Shurmann, made in Germany. Possibly original? The Back rim is Ukarim, made in Japan. They seem to share a common style hub. On the serial number shot am I seeing the copper plating? I thought it was errant brazing. Amazing call.

The shifters made me take it for $12. Didn't think the frame deserved a Campy grouppo, but a guy can dream. :) I believe that is a oil port. Thanks for all the help, Tim

I'd say it's early to mid 60's and euro. I like the BB oil port.

Agreed that it is an older 60's or early 70's European manufactured bike. Rear wheel with Ukai rim and skiplink Shimano freewheel is obivously not original to bike. Cottered crankset clinches it. Also the very shallow angle of the fork indicates the approx. time period.

It's a Puch. The lugs and fork crown give it away.

Might have been imported by Sears.

Actually, I think those are Valentino shifters. Not world-class stuff. Even so... nice bike (potentially, at least)!
