BMX - haro mirra flair

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I think the flair has been out of production for a few years. This means if you aren't buying it new, then you are likely getting one that has had at least a few modifications. Those mods can make it a lot better, or a lot worse.
Also, I believe that the Flair came in many 'levels' of performance, with cheaper ones not being nearly as good as the more expensive ones.
Taking a quick look at eBay says to me that this one looks a LOT better:

Than this one:

There also looks like there is one that is basically brand new that looks good.
The bike seems pretty good, but the chainstay mounted rear brakes and larger gearing will limit what you can do with making your drivetrain smaller. If you get the right price though, go for it.

I just bought one for $250 shipped that has been sitting in some funky musuem in north carolina, so I'm sure you can find one for a good price. I see mira 540 all the time for about the same and mira pro's used for around $350. Check e-bay an d watch a few to get an idea.

well wat actually happened, this happened awhile ago now, the guy ended up giving me the original deal again but sent me a piece of crap bike, it truly was an 03 mirra flair but it was the crappiest one ive ever seen, it had scratches and scuffs all over and he dint send me all the parts and i got ripped off and now its history, luckily i got a friend who can paint it again and then i ended up spending 300 dollars for new parts for the dang thing, like i said the rest is history

That sucks!!!!Hate it when that happens you never can tell how honest a seller will be when they know they'll never see you.You paid more than the bike was worth to fix it. I hope the parts were some serious upgrades. Just ride it till it dies and get your money out of it.
