Hey kids,
So...I recently snatched up an $85 scratched IRO SS "highlander" frame and fork. I'm in the process of moving all my SS parts over from my ****ty old steel frame, and I have the following rigid fork options:
the aluminum IRO fork
or
the 4130 Surly fork from my old bike.
The new frame is Aluminum (would have preferred steel, but hell--$85!). Would the steel fork do much to smooth the ride?
I've never had an aluminum rigid fork before...how's the ride?
