When I got the Xbox 360 a few years back, I'd been thinking about getting a console game system for a while, but I admit the reason for going Xbox over any other was pretty much solely based on Oblivion. I had played Morrowind before that (on PC) and thought it was the best game of all-time.
Well, I never did finish it back then. I got to almost end-game spot then got busy at work and kind of put it down for too long. It sat there until last year when I finally got rid of the Xbox and bought a Wii instead.
Anyway....I did miss Oblivion (even though I still think Morrowind was better). So I finally broke down over the weekend and bought the Oblivion "game of the year" (includes two expansion packs) for the PC (for $19.99...how cool is that?).
Anyway......it is a great game. I was wondering who else has played and enjoys Oblivion?

Picked up the GOTY Edition a while back; finished the main quest, and knights of the nine, but not shivering isles. Funny that you mentioned this; my kid picked it up on Sunday and we're trying to make a character with his face.

i have it. i thought it was great, but then i realized as i was finishing it around level 13 that there really was no story to it... that annoyed me a lot... so i gave up and never finished it. i recently tried the shivering isle thing, but it's buggy. save and restart every 10 minutes or it will lock up your pc even with 4 gigs of ram.

Oblivion was one of the few "big" games ive ever played to completion (Bioshock was another). My understanding is that the next in the Morrowind/Oblivion line is in development, having just started, I believe. I work in gaming press, but I have stayed away from that one to keep spoilers at bay. Its hard to cover games and play games and have the same feelings you used to when you didnt cover games.

I still have it installed. Never completed the main quest though, I always get distracted. The Dark Brotherhood quest line was awesome.

Good to know...when I played it before on Xbox (never quite finished MQ), I did full quest lines for Mages guild and Thieves guild, but not Dark Brotherhood. Now that you say that, I'll make sure to go for DB this time around.
Last night was tinkering, got a little further then stopped game for dinner. When I went back, could not get the game to start. It keeps crashing before it loads. I "barely" have the hardware to run it....I'm going to have to hit some tweaking guides, I think, to get it more workable.
I play the part of an obliviot daily in real life.

Finished Morrowind, all expansions and a few mods.
Finished Oblivion, all expansions and a few mods.
Finished fallout 3, all expansions and may try a few mods.
Now I'm waiting for Fallout: New Vegas. I really like that sort of game.
