I'm uncertain about purchasing this old lady, since the owner says that weighs less than 28 lbs, but I've been told that these classic bikes are never under 30 lbs...
Besides, I'd like to know how smooth is its ride, and if their original components are good enough or should be changed in order to have a fine ride....
Thank you all Vintage peolple!

My son has a men's 1985 Panasonic Sport 500. I've never weighed it but 30 lbs seems about right.
The Shimano OEM components work fine, if in an unrefined way. The bike is a fine rider, smooth and stable.

With its Hi-Ten steel frame and fork I wouldn't bother upgrading the OEM components.

Here is a link to a catalog page.

And here's a pic of his bike.

My wife has also has a sport 500. Yes, it's heavy around 30lbs. I've kept it because it's a size 42 and she does not ride much. If I could find a better size 40-42 bike - I would probably retire it.
Components are not great - but it's held up since the late 80's. For her purpose - trails and slow family rides, it's fine.

I originally had the matching bike and used it as a commuter for about a year. My $0.02 is that the extra money for a higher end panasonic (dx series) is money better spent. I would shy away from the sport series.

I sold Panasonic's for many years and my estimate is that it weighs 30 to 32 pounds. Nice solid bike, but mostly steel parts.
