Long Distance Competition/Ultracycling, Randonneuring and Endurance Cycling - What 650b rim works well with 42mm Grand Bois Hetres?

I'm having a bike made that will use 42mm Hetres, and am trying to figure out what rim to use. It has to be 650B (natch), silver ('cause I dislike black components), accommodate 36 spokes ('cause I'm a Clyde and like the security of those extra 4 spokes), and be compatible with the Hetres. That last part seems to be tricky, because when I read about some such as the Velocity Synergy, it seems that they weren't designed with such wide tires in mind, and the range of recommended tire widths doesn't go up to 42mm.

I don't know the available options well, but thought some of you might. Can you recommend a rim that meets my needs? I'm hoping some of you have gone through this same process before and have come up with at least one good solution. Thanks.

Sun CR-18. Silver. 36 spoke.

Currently laced to a SRAM dynamo front hub and a Campy Veloce rear hub on my Rawland Sogn. CR-18 is technically a MTB rim. I've had 650B x 35 and 650B x 45 tires on them.

We just built some wheels for a customer (DG Bicycles in Indy) with Velocity rims and Phil Wood hubs. He was using Grand Bois tires.

Thanks, PlatyPlus. I'll look into these.

The Velocity Synergy work fine. (http://www.veloweb.ca/mybikepages/blerioso.html)

I run the Grand Bois Hetre 42mm 650B tires on Velocity Snergy rims. They went on a Salsa A La Carte MTB.

Thanks, Randochap and NormanF. I'd initially looked at the Synergy, which was recommended by my builder, but came across a site that said they were great rims to use for tires up to about 35mm. I don't understand the nuances of rim/tire compatibility, but knew that if they're not good for tires wider than 35mm then they ain't gonna work with the Hetres. I've heard they're quite good overall, so I'm glad they're an option.

Velo Orange has some new 650B rims also. I plan on ordering some for the shop at some point so I can check them out.

I'm using the Rigida Sphynx with the Hetres, which works perfectly. These rims are no longer available, but they are 22.3mm in width, which is 6mm narrower than the Synergy, so it seems like the Synergys would be just fine.

The new Velo Orange "Diagonal" rims look very attractive to me, though in my experience the "traditional" rim styles don't work too well with modern 8/9/10 speed cassettes, as they require high spoke tension and lots of offset.

Also worth noting the prebuilt 650b wheels offered by VO. These like like a very good deal to me. I use and appreciate 36 spokes as well, but on a small wheel with a huge tire it's probably overkill for anyone under 250 pounds.

Keep in mind that the Synergy Asymmetrical rear rim makes it possible to build a very strong wheel with minimal offset. Repeat, these work just fine with Hetres. Ran them for 2 years and tested them at very high cornering speeds.
