United Kingdom - Vintage Bike Shop in London?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi,
I'm planning a visit with my wife to London next month, while I'm there I want to look for some parts for my 70's Raleigh Roadster.. For example a hard-to-find pair of 28x1 1/2 Westwood rims.. Where can I find such parts? I may be interested in vintage lightweight stuff too ;)
Also we want to hire a couple of bikes this time.. Can you recommend some places for that?
Thanks in advance!

Sorry no- one has answered for you- and I am not going to be any help either.
In regard to Vintage parts- In any area of the world- UK and US included- there will be old established shops that retain old stock. I know my LBS has a fair amount of "Old" crud that they have never thrown away but the only way to find out if they have any particular stock is to ask.
Stay away from the chain stores as they will only carry recent stock but one online store that used to carry old stuff was St. Johns Cycles.

Even they don't seem to carry as much as they used to but always worth a glance at their web site

I'm told Brick Lane Bikes do a good selection of used / vintage stuff but I can't verify that as I've not been yet.

Yes they do, but I doubt they have those rims. It's worth checking out Tour de Ville and Condor Cycles

+1
While I've seen some older/vintage components in their shop most of the truly vintage stuff is either Condor or Paris cycles frames that they're reselling.
No harm in asking though as I'm sure they'll be able to help.
Thanks for all the replies! I've asked the Brick Lane but they don't have this kind of stuff.
I will check the others now..
Apart from the vintage Roadster parts, I am also interested in vintage lightweight parts too.. I'd like to have more of your recommended stores for these kind of stuff in central London.
