What are your Halloween plans this year, and what is your costume going to be?

We are going to party hosted by a friend/co-worker of mine (same as last year). Going to go easy this year (e.g. easy costumes).

My wife has long curly black hair, so she's going to wear my top hat and a leather jacket and go as Slash.

I'm going to wear my black trench coat, cycling sunglasses, etc... and go as Neo.

Nothing difficult....already have all the props. May make a fake guitar for the wife out of cardboard, but nothing fancier than that.

How about youz guyz?

Hopefully as little as possible. Doing something tonight with the baby to make the wife happy. Carting the baby around on Saturday to visit people to make the wife happy. We got one Trick-o-Treater last year so we won't be doing that again.

The only time my wife and I ever did something for Halloween was when we went to a costume party hosted by grad students and we were the only people dressed up. If that wasn't shocking enough, my wife wore an extremely sexy costume on which was so far out of her element she couldn't see her friends without blushing the rest of the semester.

Tomorrow night at an annual club-thrown "alternative" (fetish-ish) party called Trauma where people will hang from hooks in their skin (its freaky, yes): a gothic nun, with my date as a priest.

Saturday night at the bars with friends: Cleopatra!

I swiped a full throwaway surgical outfit from work. They call it a bunny suit. All white jumpers, mask, cap, etc. Actually I didn't really swipe it as much a wheedled it from them.

I'll splatter it with red paint and I have a big irrigation syringe that I'll make a big crooked needle for it and fill it full of beer.

Going to a party with my old motorcycling group.

But realistically, nothing. I'll probably be sitting at home doing nothing. :o

I'm riding in CM with a "where the wild things are" hat thingie my friend (ex bf) made me, plus I have some silly decorations for my bike. On the actual H'ween, my landdorks are throwing a loud party with a bunch of kids, and they said there will be "dancing." So, I'll put in a Die Hard dvd maybe, for the noise factor and crank my "poor man's surround sound system." To drown them out. They said they would be partying until 12am, too. FFFFF---

Friday I will be the Red Queen (chess piece). Saturday I'm going as Shihouin Yoruichi from Bleach. Sunday I'll just be my regular, scary self.

maybe a lumberjack, if I can find some decent lumberjack-like clothes.

or maybe just a poor college student, that shouldn't be too hard to pull off.

^ A red flannel shirt and some brown pants and suspenders shouldn't be too hard, yeah? Do you have a Goodwill store around?

My exciting plans are to take the grandkids around the neighborhood. They like to come here because "the rich people have better candy". I gotta tell you, though, that taking around a couple of cute young girls and a dog really makes me a babe magnet for the local MILFs.

Not sure where we are going, but I am putting on corset and thigh high boots, etc that I pull out for RenFairs. But for Halloween I may skip the shirt under the corset...Kids are going candy grabbing as "Miss Universe" (13 yr old) and Velma from Scooby Doo (7yr old) before SO and I head out to party.

You can't see from the picture, but I also had a cane. I nice black cane with white ends. It was a cheapo at the tux rental store ($5).

We're going to my parents' place in DC this weekend to try to avoid eating candy, and to have a little party with my family to celebrate our engagement :)

Oh, and I'm installing Windows 7 and an SSD in my dad's computer.

Ostrich Jockey for me, at least at work when we hand out candy. Normally switch to the giant banana suit when I commute home, because it works well with the recumbent and is fun when passing through the neighborhoods as I get closer to home.

My neighbor and I will be mocking Jake & Ellwood again this year. Dark suit, black fedora and shades...easy.
My g/f will be Cruella DeVille again...not easy especially with temps forecast ~89º.

We'll invade my sisters house, which is conveniently located between the two of us, and have a few adult beverages.

We hope to avoid any of this.^

100s of children flock to our street for Halloween each year.
One year we bought 60 pounds of candy online and it was ALL gobbled up by the masked mass of mouths.

Last year there was a toddler in an elephant get up who,
for someone like me who cares not for pre-adult humans, was quite endearing.

I didn't have a pic with me (still on camera), but a friend of mine from the party we went to already posted some, so I cut this picture of my wife (Slash) and I (Neo) from the group picture.

I do NOT make a very good Neo. :(

It's hard to tell from this picture, but she actually did make a pretty decent Slash.

Was it irony, stupidity or something more sinister???

A quick outfit I put together, attempting to be the late, great Sheldon Brown:

I think the pillow-under-the-jersey effect turned out great. And yeah, I really should have had my red helmet on with an eagle on top.
