Hey all...I just moved to Potrero and can see this climb way in the distance. The height and deck sure look like Diablo but ??? And yes, I need to clean my camera sensor. Thanks for the help!
Here are two pix of the mtn...

Wow...never guessed it would be so clear on a good visibility day! Thanks!

Mount Diablo. A little over 3800feet from the north gate.

Go up there on a clear day. It's got the largest viewable area ('viewshed") in the lower 48 states. If it's really clear you can see quite a bit of the Sierras. If you have binoculars you can see one of the domes around Yosemite valley.

On a very clear day you can easily see San Francisco. And if the conditions are perfect and you look east you can see the Sierra, I have only seen them once or twice in the 30+ years I have lived here.

I've been to the summit about a dozen times but each was hazy so visibility was good but not great. I thought the antennae + deck looked like it but wasn't sure if there were any others in the area setup like that. Thanks again everyone.

I'm impressed with the detail in your pic coming from SF.
because I am a camera junkie and such, what camera/lens combination did you use?
Diablo is visible from the Central Valley where I usually ride. On a clear day, it shows up quite nicely!

It's a Nikon D3 + 200-400/4 + Kenko 3x converter for the Diablo summit closeup.
Today I can see it clear as a bell in the distance. It's calling to me to come for a ride now that the bridge is open for business. :)

The full panoramic is about three 12MP images stitched together from a wide angle lens.
