i was wondering if anybody knew what angle (i'm guessing 45 degrees) i need to bend a piece of metal at to make my own fork lip...

Fork lip? Not sure what you are talking about.

The fork has the steer tube, two fork legs, and dropouts. There is also a place to put the lower bearing race onto and sometimes u-brake mounts.

What are you calling a fork lip?

i'm talking about a piece of metal that goes on before the peg that protects the front hub durring 50/50 grinds not a part of the fork i'm not stupid... i need to give my dad the dimentions cuz he's a cnc machinist... know what i'm talking about now?

can't be sure but I bet 45 degrees is a safe bet on this one

45 degrees or a little shallower. You don't want it to be to flat or else it won't kick off nicely, but you don't want it so steep that it hangs up on everything.

The main thing is to have it between about 30 and 50 degrees and have it come in fairly close to your wheel so if you land close to your wheel/fork, it kicks it off nicely onto the peg.
