I'm in N. GA but was thinking of driving up for this. Anyone been before?

I have been several times. I'm sure you'll get different opinions, but I think it's become more a retail event rather than a flea market clearance event.

I still spend a couple of hours looking things over and always come home with a bag full of goodies. Look hard enough and you'll find just about anything you need and several things you don't need.

I'd like a 48-49cm Serotta...you got one?

How about a 56 Legend Ti?

Smallest bike I own is a 53 Mongoose Compact crank style.

I'll be attending again. In fact, I will be working one of the booths and all our stuff will be items other cyclists will be selling. Agree with Serotta in that at least last year there were probably more retailers than yard sale items-plus I thought quantities were down overall but I wonder how much of that can be contributed to the economic downturn. Regardless it's fun looking at stuff. There can be some really sweet deals for some stuff as well. I sold a bunch of stuff and immediately reinvested in other stuff that I've actually put to good use. So maybe they should change the event name to a Recycling center!!!

I have never been, but I may hitch a ride with a buddy who is headed down for the day. If I wanted to sell one of my bikes, how does it work? Do I need to get a table and register as a vendor, or can I just show up and sell one thing?

I think you'd need to register as a vendor in a booth-but you can always put a sign on it and hang around near the entrance and other places where there will be lots of people.
