Great Lakes - BFNIC Ride 10/31/09

OK...I'm missing the BFNIC love. I am going to be helping to set up the Campton Cyclocross race course on Saturday at 10am but looking to do a road ride before that. Wanting to just have a leisurely ride. 20-30 miles maybe.

Anyone in?

I think I can ... as long as it's slow. Haven't ridden in 2 weeks and leg is VERY SLOWLY getting better

Are you talking leisurely ride or are you talking BFNIC leisurely ride?

I've been off the bike for a long long time and am not in best of shape, so if you're talking the former I might be in (pending finding out what's going on with family stuff, that is). What time you thinking? From the park in St. Chuck?

being done around that time works for me, but i need at least 30 miles in order to make the trip :). its November, but i might be able to muster 16 mph if i really try. later.

I'm down for something in the 16-18 mph avg range. Pretty slow if we can stick to it. I hammer enough. i want to hang and talk. We can do 30. I am thinking 8am-ish. Let me figure out a place. Maybe the park in St Chucks to make it easier. That way we get back in time for me to start working on the course and you guys can check it out if you're interested.

There's no cross country meet at the park or anything tomorrow morning is there? Those are always a cluster for parking.

No...park where the map says to park. There is a big parking lot there.

BTW - i can't seem to download off of mapmyride anymore to my Garmin. I assume this addin is only available to "paid" members now. If so and anyone is a paid member can you download it as a Garmin Course .crs I believe.... and send it to me?

A very windy, cold 32 miles, but it flew by like it always does with the BFNIC...too fast!

I had a blast BTW. Sorry about the slow update. It was so much fun just going out and riding. I haven't seen numbers that low in a long time - especially with this group of heavy hitters, but that translated into a TON of conversation.

It was awesome - even if I was kind of pre-occupied and didn't totally turn into a chatty kathy.

Hey next time we ride lets try to do it on a day without all of that wind,I had a good time but man what a cold start:thumb:.I rode Sunday morning and it was 10 degrees colder,but without all of that wind I felt like I was riding in the tropics.Maybe PSI could get another ride together this month:).
