Looking for a good Tucson bike store for a newbie to road cycling (been mtn biking a while). Good selection and willing to fit new bike for free. Looking to spend 1k to $1500.

Regards

Might want to try Cycle Spectrum on 940 E. University and there is one on 6177 E. Broadway. I bought my bike from a cycle spectrum in Phoenix and was pretty happy with them and the price I paid.

I live in Phoenix area so I don't know the stores down in Tucson.

What side of town?
from my experiences, seems like most of the stores will do a 'fast fit'. you'll have to pay for more than that most likely.

Central="Fair Wheel" near the UofA has a great staff (wish it were bigger/more stuff but they do carry some used stuff which is cool)
"SuperGo" on Speedway (between Campbell and Alvernon) lotsa bikes tho not an 'LBS' (I like the sales)
East Side="Sabino Cycles" on Tanque Verde (also a smallish LBS)
"Performance" on Broadway (just east of Kolb) fair amount of bikes and sales (also not LBS) but as far as a chain store goes, I've had LBS style service there (used to be Full Cycle)
Foothills="Tucson Bikes" (or something like that- on Craycroft and Sunrise) pretty small but cool

those are the ones I go to
there's also "R'n R bicycles" on the West side, don't know so much about that one and of course there are a few others maybe worth checking into if you don't find the brand you're looking for at those.
there are some good sales going on now, good luck

That would be Tucson Bicycles on Swan and Sunrise. Which has my recommendation.

Sabino Cycles
Tucson Bicycles
Fair Wheel

In order of my preference. All are locally owned by good people and will take care of you after the sale.
Performace and Supergo are huge chain stores and sell mass market bikes. They do have smokin sales sometimes.
Sabino (Mack) and Tucson Bikes (Jessie) will probably match though.
