This is my new-to-me Fuji Sport 10. I got it already set up single-speed for $75 at my LBS. So far I've just tightened everything up, switched out the front brake for a better Dia Comp one, and added the clips and straps. What do you think? Notice the sweet "don't steal me" finish on the top tube. :lol:

Find some hunt wilde, or Schwinn handlebar grips.

If there is a freewheel on the back, you should put a brake back there too.

I always did like that color. Looks fun. The paint on the top tube looks like a herpes flair up. :)

I don't like the saddle, or the pedals/clips. I think it'd look great with an old school leather saddle, cork grips, metal clips and leather straps, and maybe a good ole fashioned wald basket up there. Oh and maybe some full fenders. Then you've got yourself a nice looking townie in my opinion.

Yeah, a rear brake will be going on there very soon. I was deciding whether or not to convert it to fixed, but I think I'm happy with the freewheel. The clips and straps were just from an old mountain bike and were all I had laying around. They'll be replaced eventually along with the saddle, wheels, tires and grips.

you piad 75 to do what? im pretty sure older bikes you could unscrew the rear cassette and screw on a freewheel vola cheap

yeah, it did look like it was a pretty easy conversion. But I didn't pay $75 for them to do that, I payed it for the bike with all the new stuff included.

You did good. I'd leave the way it is, except for adding a rear brake and maybe a more comfy seat. If you pimp it out with fancy new wheels, you're going to need a lot more protection than that cablelock.

Yeah, the cable lock has to go no matter what I do with the bike. I hardly trust that thing to lock up even my sh1tty mountain bike. I think I'll get whatever alloy wheels I can find, nothing fancy. The seat looks pretty lame, but it's surprisingly comfy so that might take a while to replace.
