Does anyone sell Showers Pass jackets in Vancouver? I see there is a retailer in Victoria, how about Vancover?

I don't think so. I emailed the company, and they never got back to me. I ended up mail ordering the Elite 2.0 from Showers Pass directly. So far, so good. I had it for some of the serious rain last week and it performed very well. Way less 'clammy' than anything else I've used.

You could always go to Victoria on a weekend and get one from the store. It would make for a nice two day weekend on your bike if you rode over and back.You can take the Lochside bike path from the ferry dock ,then connect to the Galloping Goose trail and ride right to the store. We do let the riff-raff from the big smoke area over to visit, just don't get any ideas about moving to the big rock.:D

At MEC Vancouver downtown, they sell Showers pass pants, did not see jackets but maybe they have them too?

The store shows up on google as being right at the end of the selkirk trestle,right on the galloping goose,so you wouldn't have to go into the downtown area at all.

If you take the Lochside, there are a couple of places where you'll probably get lost because the CRD (Capital Regional District) does such a lousy job of signing (although they will vehemently deny this!). Here are the points to watch for:
Off the ferry, if you manage to end up in Sidney on Resthaven Road, make a left at Malaview (there's a grocery store at the intersection on your left), and then a right one block later onto 5th. This will become Lochside out of Sidney.
When you get to Newton Cross Road (Lochside ends), you can turn right and head towards the intersection with the Pat Bay Hwy. Just before the lights, you will see a path off to the left, looking like it will put you on the bicycle overpass. Don't take the overpass, but follow the path alongside the highway. It is gravel, winds stupidly with very poor sight distances, so watch for oncoming cyclists, but it will get you onto the paved section of Lochside again.
If you find you've lost the trail at Mattick Farm, you can get back on it one block past the stop light. It goes off to the right.
After the first long trestle (Blenkinsop, with the bronze statue of some dude near the end), the trail will gradually end at a parking lot at Cedar Hill Cross Road. Turn right at Cedar Hill X, go one block to Borden, and turn left. You will see the trail again across the street at the stoplight at McKenzie. Coming the opposite way, you will have no idea where the trail is. I've complained to the CRD about this, but they maintain that there's nothing wrong... From here, it's pretty simple. The trail junctions with the Galloping Goose just past the Saanich City Hall (when you cross Darwin Road), so you want to take the left fork over the Trans Canada bicycle overpass. From here it's pretty-well signed. Just be careful going over the Johnson St. Bridge (the blue bridge) - it's got the steel cheese-grater deck surface.
I'm only here for six months, but the riding is way nicer than around the Vancouver area.

Mountain Equipment Co-op sells two of their jackets. www.mec.ca (http://www.mec.ca) If they don't sell the one you want, I don't know who else sells them locally.
