They now have both Hincapie and Evans, anyone think they may get a pro tour license for 2010?
I was wondering that today too.

Haven't the licenses for 2010 already been decided?

I'm not sure BMC even applied for a ProTour license for 2010. With the addition of Hincapie, Ballan, and Evans I don't imagine BMC will be left out of too many races next season.

They were originally planning to focus only the classics in 2010, before going for a Tour spot in 2011. With the addition of Evans, the BMC manager says the TdF is now the focus for 2010.

They'll get invited to most everything.

agreed, they'll race where they want to this season. i doubt the tour will look negatively about rihs for phonak - he's just a passionate guy for the sport that got screwed.

Don't bet the house on it.
No pro tour, but it doesn't matter because they could still get invited to a lot of big races like Cervelo does. They may have to miss Australia though which would suck for Evans given he would like to race there with his World Champ jersey on.
Also, don't forget about Ballan, BMC is loading up and should be a good team.

A protour license is a hassle that BMC does not need to deal with. Will they get automatic invitation to most races? Probably not. But with the roster they have they can probably race what they feel necessary and still be successful without racing every singe race in the season.

They can get a wildcard entry to the grand tours? If a team like Skil Shimano could get into the Tour this year, i don't see why a 9-mean squad from BMC can't. Plus, there is the antecedent of Cervelo Test Team.
