I've been coming across a lot of contradictory figures. Some sites say 10 degrees, others say 5. One even says both (link (http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:m7HJV67wXNoJ:bestmountainbikesonline.com/time-atac-pedal-review/+time+atac+xs+%2210+degrees%22&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a)). Can someone please tell me definitively how much float these pedals have? Thanks.

I think what they are talking about is 5° of side-to-side float (slide) & 10° of angular float.

That's 10° of angular float and 5 MILLIMETERS of lateral float. I have these pedals and love them dearly. I've used Shimano SPDs and a whole whack of Crank Bros. pedals and I definitely prefer these. I still keep a pair of Candy's on my commuter but out on the trail the ATACs just feel much more precise. There's float when you want it but you can still unclip in a hurry if you need to.
