Are the rumours I heard true? Having given up, for the moment, trying to mate my Veloce bottom bracket with my Chorus cranks, I think I am now going to try and recycle my FSA Gossamer crankset. I can get a cheap Dura-Ace or Ultegra bottom bracket (fair bit cheaper than the FSA BB-6000 specified for the Gossamer) but want to make sure the two are compatible.

Will it work?

DuraAce 7900 BB if it's the newer Gossamer that normally uses the MegaExo BB. Some older used an ISIS BB which is why I qualified it.

Thanks! And I should have made better use of the search function. This question has been asked a few times.

I am using a Gossamer crankset with Ultegra SM-BB6700 no problem only the Aluminum FSA Gossamer cranks are compatable with shimano - CF cranks are not.
